A little more about Susan Dees

Susan Dees, Psy. D. is a Retired Licensed Psychologist in Colorado and New Mexico. She provided clinical services since 1974 and specialized in the treatment of trauma. She has designed, trained, and implemented a bicultural model of treatment for children who have been sexually abused known as the Ghost Busters Program while working for Indian Health Service.
In addition to providing time honored traditional techniques of psychological assessment and psychotherapy, Dr. Dees was a practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming, biofeedback and Heart Math. She has trained in EMDR, ESCT (an application of EMDR to horses), Seemorg Matrix therapy, Emotional Freedom Therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, PEAT, and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy.
She founded the Medicine Horse Center for Therapeutic Riding and Equine Rehabilitation and helped develop a therapeutic riding program for emotionally disturbed and physically challenged Navajo children in Shiprock, NM. She has trained with the developers and leaders in the field of equine experiential learning.
She now creates these beautiful works of fused glass art that will accent any home.
